Christina F. Cacho is a Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who guides individuals, couples and families lead a life that is filled with peace, love and happiness.
Christina holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from New College of California, San Francisco and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is an active member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists camft.org and is a Certified Brief Strategic Family Therapist through the Family Therapy Training Institute of Miami bsft-av.com.
With over 10 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families, Christina specializes in strength based solution-focused therapy and works with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are family therapy, gestalt therapy, play therapy and art therapy. Her overall therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
In addition to having a private practice in South Pasadena, Christina is a Clincial Supervisor at a local community agency, Violence Intervention Program - Community Mental Health Center violenceinterventionprogram.org where she manages the School Based Mental Health Program and supervises clinicians, case managers and graduate level student interns who work with children and families to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief/loss, defiance, trauma, withdrawn and at-risk behaviors.
Christina is also a professional photographer and enjoys taking photos of people, animals, plants, nature, urban culture and anything that catches her "eye".
